Description

At a glance

Who it’s for
Kids ages 11 to 14 (works for grades 5 to 9) who love drawing, sketchbooks, painting, comics and making things. Made for parents, including ADHD parents, homeschool families and middle school teachers.
What’s included
Showcase Day: test prep guide, 16 pages; The Studio Wall: homework kanban board, 10 pages; The Studio Wall: single 11×17 poster for a print shop; Bonus: Mehtivation: The Showcase Day Deck, 45 illustrated pep-talk cards (12 pages)
How it works
Your kid tests themselves first with notes closed, rates each topic (INKED / ROUGH / BLANK), practices the weak topics from memory on 2 or more days, checks every mistake, then runs a mixed, timed practice test. Three routes: 5+ days, 2 to 4 days, or the test is tomorrow (one 90-minute page).
Format
Instant download, 4 PDFs. US Letter, black-and-white friendly, print at home. Nothing ships.
Price
$16.99 (save $1.99 vs. buying both separately)
License
One household, or one teacher’s own students. Reprint as often as you need.

Your kid already runs a studio: sketchbook, works in progress, finished pieces. This bundle pairs an art studio test prep printable with a homework board for the wall, made for kids who’d rather be drawing.

Sound Familiar?

The sketchbook goes everywhere. The assignment sheet goes nowhere.

Test on Thursday? News to them on Wednesday night.

“I studied” means they read the notes once, between doodles.

They can focus on a drawing for hours. Starting schoolwork is the hard part.

Two different problems. One studio for both.

Every Week: The Studio Wall

A 4-column kanban homework board: THE BRIEFS (next 7 days), TODAY’S WORK (max 3), ON THE EASEL (only 1) and FINISHED (stays up until Friday). Every card has a NEXT STEP, so they always know where to restart. Stuck cards go to ASK A MENTOR. On Friday, they count the finished cards.

Test Week: Showcase Day

A 16-page plan for one test. Pick a route by days left on The Deadline page. Memory Sketch first: notes closed, rate each topic INKED, ROUGH or BLANK. Then studies from memory, a Revision Calendar, fold-over Study Cards, The Critique for every miss, and The Timed Piece with a Proof it worked box. A topic is SIGNED when it’s right on 2 different days.

How They Fit Together

One way to use them: the test goes up as a card in THE BRIEFS. When it gets close, Showcase Day comes out, and tonight’s study session becomes the one card ON THE EASEL. Friday shows finished work. Test week shows proof.

What’s Inside (3 Pdfs)

Showcase Day: 16-page test prep, US Letter

The Studio Wall: 10-page homework board with 10 task cards, big project cards, routine poster and setup page

The Studio Wall 11×17 single-sheet board for a print shop

Both Letter files include a one-page guide for the adult helping

Why It Works

Answering from memory, then checking, and spreading practice over several days are two of the best-supported study habits in learning research. A visible board takes “remember to check the planner” off a kid’s plate. Both tools keep one job per page, short sessions and no streaks to break.

Designed with ADHD and easily distracted kids in mind. These are study and organizing tools, not medical products, and they promise steps, not grades.

How It Arrives

Instant digital download: 4 PDFs, black-and-white friendly. No physical item ships. Print at home, grades 5 to 9.

FAQ

Should we start with the board or the test prep?

Start with the board this week. Bring out Showcase Day when a test lands in THE BRIEFS.

Does my kid need to be good at art?

No. The studio is the frame. The work is homework and studying.

Will I be checking it every night?

Only at first. Both adult pages show you how to step back.

License

Pin it up. Pull one card. Sketch from memory. That’s the whole studio.

Bonus: Mehtivation: The Showcase Day Deck

45 illustrated, printable pep-talk cards for the days your kid opens the page and feels meh. Each card is honest about how school feels, then gives one tiny move that points straight back to a page in the system. Sorted into piles: Stuck, Tired, Too Much, Test Soon, Got It Back, Fresh Start and Any Day.

Questions parents ask

What ages and grades is this for?
Ages 11 to 14 is the sweet spot (grades 5 to 9). The tone is grown-up, with no cartoon mascots, so a 13-year-old won’t feel babied.

What is the bonus card deck?
Mehtivation: The Showcase Day Deck is 45 illustrated, printable pep-talk cards for the days your kid feels meh. Each card names the feeling, then gives one tiny move back into their Showcase Day and The Studio Wall pages. It’s included free with this bundle.

The test is tomorrow. Is it too late?
No. There is a one-page plan for the night before, about 90 minutes, in order.

Is it good for kids with ADHD?
It was designed with distractible kids and kids with ADHD in mind: one job per page, a short DO THIS line, short sessions, a clear next step and nothing that resets after a missed day. It is a study tool, not a treatment.

Does my kid have to love art studio things?
It helps. The whole system speaks the language of drawing, sketchbooks, painting, comics and making things. If that’s not your kid, the same system comes in 10 other worlds with matching page numbers.

Can I use it for homeschool or my classroom?
Yes. The license covers one household, or one teacher’s own students. Reprint it for every test this year.
