Martial arts study bundle: a belt test prep planner for test week and a dojo homework board for every week. For the kid who’s all focus on the mat, and all over the place at homework time.

Sound Familiar?

Monday at the dojo: bows in, eyes on the instructor, nails every step.

Thursday, 9:40 p.m.: “Wait. The test is tomorrow?”

Saturday: the study guide surfaces, folded into eighths, in a gym bag.

Same kid, two rooms. The dojo gives them a schedule, one drill at a time, and visible progress. This bundle gives school the same.

Every Week: The Dojo Board

A wall board with four columns: SCHEDULE (next 7 days), TODAY’S CLASS (max 3), ON THE MAT (only 1), STRIPES (finished, up until Friday). Plus HAND RAISED for stuck cards. Each card has a NEXT STEP, so restarting after dinner takes seconds.

Every Friday they count the stripes. That’s the week’s training, right there on the wall.

Test Week: Belt Test

When a test card lands on the SCHEDULE, Belt Test takes over. Your kid picks a route by days left: Full Training (5+ days), Intensive (2-4), or Bow In! The Test Is Tomorrow (about 90 minutes).

No Warm-Up Check: each topic is a move, tried cold and rated SOLID, SHAKY or NOT YET. Drills from memory. +1 rep for every try. A move is BELT-READY when it’s right on 2 different days. Corrections sort every miss by why. The Sparring Round is a mixed, timed practice test that ends in a “Proof it worked” box: SOLID before, ready now.

WHAT’S INSIDE (4 PDFs)

  • Belt Test: 16 pages, one test from study guide to test day, plus Test Feedback and a page for the adult helping
  • The Dojo Board: 10 pages, including 4 board pages, 10 task cards, 4 FULL FORM project cards, a routine poster and an adult page
  • The Dojo Board on one 11×17 sheet for a print shop

Why It Works

Answering from memory, then checking, is one of the best-supported study methods in learning research. Spacing practice over days helps it stick. A visible board holds what a closed backpack hides. Both adult pages explain the research in plain words and show you how to step back.

Designed With ADHD And Easily Distracted Kids In Mind

One job per page or column. Short sessions. Few words. No streaks to break. These are study and organizing tools, not medical products, and no grade is promised.

How It Arrives

Instant digital download: 4 PDFs, US Letter plus one 11×17 sheet. Black-and-white friendly. Print at home. No physical item ships.

FAQ

Which one do we start with?

The board. Set it up in about 15 minutes. Open Belt Test when a test appears on the SCHEDULE.

Do the two use the same words?

Yes. Moves, the mat, training. Your kid learns the language once.

Does my kid have to do martial arts?

No. It helps if they love it. The methods work for any subject.

License

Personal and household use only. No sharing or resale.

Test week, every week: one move at a time.

Bonus: Mehtivation: The Belt Test Deck

45 illustrated, printable pep-talk cards for the days your kid opens the page and feels meh. Each card is honest about how school feels, then gives one tiny move that points straight back to a page in the system. Sorted into piles: Stuck, Tired, Too Much, Test Soon, Got It Back, Fresh Start and Any Day.

Questions parents ask

What ages and grades is this for?
Ages 11 to 14 is the sweet spot (grades 5 to 9). The tone is grown-up, with no cartoon mascots, so a 13-year-old won’t feel babied.

What is the bonus card deck?
Mehtivation: The Belt Test Deck is 45 illustrated, printable pep-talk cards for the days your kid feels meh. Each card names the feeling, then gives one tiny move back into their Belt Test and The Dojo Board pages. It’s included free with this bundle.

The test is tomorrow. Is it too late?
No. There is a one-page plan for the night before, about 90 minutes, in order.

Is it good for kids with ADHD?
It was designed with distractible kids and kids with ADHD in mind: one job per page, a short DO THIS line, short sessions, a clear next step and nothing that resets after a missed day. It is a study tool, not a treatment.

Does my kid have to love martial arts things?
It helps. The whole system speaks the language of karate, taekwondo, judo, jiu-jitsu and belt tests. If that’s not your kid, the same system comes in 10 other worlds with matching page numbers.

Can I use it for homeschool or my classroom?
Yes. The license covers one household, or one teacher’s own students. Reprint it for every test this year.
