Concert on Tuesday, history test on Wednesday. This music study bundle gives your band, choir or orchestra kid a test prep planner and a homework board in one.
Sound Familiar?
- They know the whole program by heart. The test date? “Wait, that’s this week?”
- Rehearsal runs late, homework starts at 8:40, nobody knows what’s due.
- “I studied!” They looked at the notes. Once.
Your kid already practices the right way, at least in rehearsal. This bundle gives school the same practice room.
Every Week: The Practice Chart
Homework lives on a 4-column board on the wall:
THE FOLDER (next 7 days) > TODAY’S SETLIST (max 3) > ON THE STAND (only 1) > PLAYED.
Stuck work parks in NEED A LESSON. Big projects go on BIG PIECE cards. On Friday they count the PLAYED cards, and you both see the week.
Test Week: Concert Night
When a test lands, it gets its own 16-page plan. The test is the concert; the topics are the pieces.
- Play It Cold rates every topic CLEAN, SHAKY or NOT YET.
- Not From the Top starts them on the hard parts, not page one.
- The Practice Log counts every time through. A topic is LOCKED IN when it’s right on 2 different days.
- Mock Audition ends with a Proof it worked box: before and after, side by side.
How They Fit
The test goes on a card in THE FOLDER. Tip: make each study session its own card, so test prep takes a turn on the stand like everything else. One thing at a time, test or no test.
What’s Inside

Why It Works
A visible board holds what a backpack loses. Answering from memory, spacing practice over days and mixed timed practice are well-supported study methods; each adult page explains why in plain words. No grade promises: specific steps, a Friday count and a proof box.
Designed with ADHD and easily distracted kids in mind: one job per page, short sessions, no streaks to break.
How It Arrives
Instant digital download: 4 PDFs. US Letter (plus one 11×17 sheet), black-and-white friendly. No physical item ships. Print at home.
FAQ
Do I need both? No, each works alone. Together they cover the daily pile and the big test.
Which subjects? Any. Music is the language, not the subject.
Is it too young for an 8th grader? It’s built for grades 5-9, in the words they use at rehearsal. No baby talk.
Is this made for ADHD? It’s designed with ADHD and easily distracted kids in mind. It’s a study tool, not a medical product.

Bonus: Mehtivation: The Concert Night Deck
45 illustrated, printable pep-talk cards for the days your kid opens the page and feels meh. Questions parents ask
What ages and grades is this for?
Ages 11 to 14 is the sweet spot (grades 5 to 9). The tone is grown-up, with no cartoon mascots, so a 13-year-old won’t feel babied.
What is the bonus card deck?
Mehtivation: The Concert Night Deck is 45 illustrated, printable pep-talk cards for the days your kid feels meh. Each card names the feeling, then gives one tiny move back into their Concert Night and The Practice Chart pages. It’s included free with this bundle.
The test is tomorrow. Is it too late?
No. There is a one-page plan for the night before, about 90 minutes, in order.
Is it good for kids with ADHD?
It was designed with distractible kids and kids with ADHD in mind: one job per page, a short DO THIS line, short sessions, a clear next step and nothing that resets after a missed day. It is a study tool, not a treatment.
Does my kid have to love music things?
It helps. The whole system speaks the language of band, orchestra, choir, lessons and concerts. If that’s not your kid, the same system comes in 10 other worlds with matching page numbers.
Can I use it for homeschool or my classroom?
Yes. The license covers one household, or one teacher’s own students. Reprint it for every test this year.
