- How it works
- Your kid tests themselves first with notes closed, rates each topic (GAME-READY / NEEDS REPS / NOT YET), practices the weak topics from memory on 2 or more days, checks every mistake, then runs a mixed, timed practice test. Three routes: 5+ days, 2 to 4 days, or the test is tomorrow (one 90-minute page).
- Format
- Instant download, 4 PDFs. US Letter, black-and-white friendly, print at home. Nothing ships.
- Price
- $16.99 (save $1.99 vs. buying both separately)
- License
- One household, or one teacher’s own students. Reprint as often as you need.
Your kid will run the same drill forty times because a coach said so. They watch film of last week’s game without being asked. They already know you can’t get in shape the night before a big game.
Then a test shows up, and they “study” by reading their notes once.
Game Day takes everything your athlete already believes about practice and points it at school. Same discipline. Same routine. Different scoreboard.

Game Week, One Page At A Time
Game Day is a 16-page practice plan for ONE test. The test is the game. Topics are skills. Notes and old quizzes are game film. Every page is one drill, with a coach’s voice: short, direct, no “give 110%!”
COUNTDOWN · How many days until the game? Check one box. Full Training Camp (5+ days), Short Week (2–4 days), or the Two-Minute Drill (game is tomorrow: one page, about 90 minutes).
SCOUTING REPORT · Old quizzes are game film. They show what this opponent runs and how.
SKILLS TEST · No notes, no warm-up. Run each skill once from memory, then rate it GAME-READY, NEEDS REPS or NOT YET. “Every player thinks they’re ready until the whistle. One real rep tells you the truth.”
PRACTICE PRIORITIES · “Coaches don’t drill what’s already solid.” The shakiest, most-likely skills go first.
TRAINING SCHEDULE · Every target skill goes on two or more different days.
THE DRILL BOOK · Match the drill to the skill: Flash Drill for vocab, Walkthrough for processes, Live Reps for math, Coach It for big ideas, Chalkboard for diagrams. Rereading and highlighting? “It’s watching from the bench. Feels like practice. Isn’t.”
PRACTICE LOG + FILM REVIEW · Every rep counts, misses too. Then watch the play back: what went wrong, and the fix. “Film isn’t punishment. It’s the next practice plan.”
SCRIMMAGE · Mixed questions, no notes, on the clock. Games are mixed, so scrimmage mixed.
GAME DAY ROUTINE · Same routine as the pros: night before, pregame, in-game.
The Game Board: The Homework Scoreboard
Tape four columns to the wall where homework happens:
SCHEDULE · everything due in the next 7 days
TODAY’S LINEUP · max 3. Set the lineup once. Then play.
IN THE GAME · only 1. One ball in play at a time.
FINAL · finished work stays up all week. Their stat line.
Stuck on something? The card goes to TIMEOUT: NEED COACH, with the name of who can help. Big project? A Game Plan card breaks it into plays, and only the next play goes in the game.
Bonus: Mehtivation, The Game Day Deck
45 illustrated, printable pep-talk cards for the days your athlete opens the page and has nothing in the tank. “Gassed.” “Blank Stare.” “Turnover.” “Shake It Off.” Each card is honest about how school feels, then gives ONE tiny move that points straight back to a page in the system. Sorted into piles: Stuck, Tired, Too Much, Test Soon, Got It Back, Fresh Start, Any Day.
Built For A Kid Who’d Rather Be Moving
Designed with distractible kids and kids with ADHD in mind:
- One drill per page. A DO THIS line of 20 words or fewer
- Short sessions: 10, 15 or 20 minutes, like practice blocks
- Reps count every attempt, not just right answers
- “Seasons don’t reset.” Missed a practice? Pick up at the first empty circle
- No leaderboards, no streaks, no comparing to teammates
- Print only the pages on their plan
Sport-agnostic on purpose. The study pages draw no balls, fields or courts, so it works for the soccer player, the swimmer, the wrestler and the dance-team kid alike.
It follows research on how memory works (practice from memory, spaced over days, with feedback). It’s a tool, not a treatment.
The Stat Line You’ve Been Waiting For
The Scrimmage page ends with a “Proof it worked” box: GAME-READY on ___ of ___ skills before, and game-ready on ___ of ___ now. It says: “Show this to whoever keeps asking ‘did you study?'” That’s you. You get numbers instead of an argument.
A page for the adult explains how to help (be the quizzer, ask “which page is next?”) and how to step back so it stays theirs.

Questions parents ask
What ages and grades is this for?
Ages 11 to 14 is the sweet spot (grades 5 to 9). The tone is grown-up, with no cartoon mascots, so a 13-year-old won’t feel babied.
What is the bonus card deck?
Mehtivation: The Game Day Deck is 45 illustrated, printable pep-talk cards for the days your kid feels meh. Each card names the feeling, then gives one tiny move back into their Game Day and The Game Board pages. It’s included free with this bundle.
The test is tomorrow. Is it too late?
No. There is a one-page plan for the night before, about 90 minutes, in order.
Is it good for kids with ADHD?
It was designed with distractible kids and kids with ADHD in mind: one job per page, a short DO THIS line, short sessions, a clear next step and nothing that resets after a missed day. It is a study tool, not a treatment.
Does my kid have to love sports things?
It helps. The whole system speaks the language of practice, team sports, swimming, dance team or any sport with a coach. If that’s not your kid, the same system comes in 10 other worlds with matching page numbers.
Can I use it for homeschool or my classroom?
Yes. The license covers one household, or one teacher’s own students. Reprint it for every test this year.
