The Quest Board is the homework half of the The Scholar’s Campaign system: a wall board that turns “what do I even have due?” into four columns your kid can see.

The Quest Board: Homework They Can See

The second file is a wall board. Four columns, one rule each:

QUEST LOG · everything due in the next 7 days

TODAY’S QUESTS · max 3. Choose once, then stop deciding.

ACTIVE QUEST · only 1. “Heroes don’t fight three bosses at once.”

CLEARED · finished quests stay up until Friday. Their trophy wall.

Stuck? The card moves to NEED AN ALLY with a name on it. Big project? A Quest Chain card breaks it into steps, and only the next step is active. The board lives on the wall where homework happens, not in a backpack it never leaves.

Made For The Kid Who Can’t Get Started

We designed this with distractible kids and kids with ADHD in mind:

  • One job per page, with a DO THIS box of 20 words or fewer
  • Every page ends with “Done when” and “Next →”, so nobody holds the plan in their head
  • Print only the pages on their route. No 80-page binder
  • Missed a day? “Campaigns pause. They don’t reset.” No streaks to break
  • XP counts tries, not perfect scores
  • A grown-up tone with no cartoon mascots, so a 13-year-old won’t feel babied

The method comes from research on how memory works: practicing from memory, spacing it over several days, and checking mistakes. It’s a tool, not a treatment for ADHD.

What You Get

Questions parents ask

What ages and grades is this for?
Ages 11 to 14 is the sweet spot (grades 5 to 9). The tone is grown-up, with no cartoon mascots, so a 13-year-old won’t feel babied.

Is it good for kids with ADHD?
It was designed with distractible kids and kids with ADHD in mind: one job per page, a short DO THIS line, short sessions, a clear next step and nothing that resets after a missed day. It is a study tool, not a treatment.

Does my kid have to love RPG fantasy things?
It helps. The whole system speaks the language of dragons, quests, D&D-style adventures and fantasy video games. If that’s not your kid, the same system comes in 10 other worlds with matching page numbers.

Can I use it for homeschool or my classroom?
Yes. The license covers one household, or one teacher’s own students. Reprint it for every test this year.
