At a glance

- Your kid tests themselves first with notes closed, rates each topic (ON PACE / OFF PACE / NO LAPS), practices the weak topics from memory on 2 or more days, checks every mistake, then runs a mixed, timed practice test. Three routes: 5+ days, 2 to 4 days, or the test is tomorrow (one 90-minute page).

- Instant download, 1 PDF. US Letter, black-and-white friendly, print at home. Nothing ships.
- Price
- $9.99
- License
- One household, or one teacher’s own students. Reprint as often as you need.
Your kid can quote a lap time to the tenth. Friday’s science test? News to them. RACE DAY is a racing test prep printable for kids, grades 5-9.
Sound Familiar?
“I studied!” (They read the notes once. Fast.)
Homework done in eleven minutes, half of it skipped.
They can explain a two-stop pit strategy, but the study guide is still in the backpack.
Your racer already knows this: nobody sets a lap record on a track they’ve never driven. Drivers learn it slow and clean first. Race Day says so on page 1: on a test, speed earns nothing. Precision first. Pace comes with laps.
What Your Kid Does With It
🏎️ Picks a race weekend by days left: Full Weekend (5+ days), Short Weekend (2-4 days), or the one-page plan for tomorrow (“Short, not rushed”).
⏱️ Runs a Qualifying Lap: notes closed, one question per corner (topic), each rated ON PACE, OFF PACE or NO LAPS. The clock tells the truth.
🔧 Sets Race Strategy (go where the time is lost), builds fold-over Lap Cards, and logs every session in the Telemetry Log: +1 lap for every try, hit or miss.
Debriefs the data: every miss gets a cause, like MISREAD or RUSHED, plus a fix and a rerun day. “Data isn’t blame. It’s a to-do list.”
Finishes with a Race Simulation: mixed, timed, notes closed. A corner is RACE-READY when it’s right on 2 different days.
WHAT’S INSIDE (16 pages)
Race key, route picker, Stock the Garage, Track Walk, Qualifying Lap, Race Strategy, Practice Schedule, Setup Sheet (a method per material: Chicanes for vocab, Hairpins for math, Stints for essays), Lap Cards, Telemetry Log, Data Debrief, Race Simulation with a Proof it worked box, Race-Day Routine, Post-Race Notes, the night-before page, and a page for the adult helping.
Why It Works
Rereading is riding passenger: you see the track but never drive it. Answering from memory, then checking, is one of the best-supported methods in learning research, and spreading practice over days beats one long night. The adult page explains why and lists the studies.
Designed with ADHD and easily distracted kids in mind: one job per page, a short DO THIS line at the top, 15-30 minute sessions, and no streaks to break. A missed day is “a pit stop, not a retirement.”
How It Arrives
✅ Instant digital download: 1 PDF, 16 pages, US Letter. No physical item ships.
Black-and-white friendly. Print only your kid’s route; three pages are reusable.
FAQ
My kid rushes everything. Won’t racing make that worse?
It’s built the other way. RUSHED is a named mistake with its own fix, and sessions aim for clean answers first.
Do they need to follow real racing?
No. If they’ve played a racing game or driven a go-kart, they know what a lap, a pit stop and qualifying mean.
How much do I have to do?
Very little. Ask “Which route are you on?” Page 16 shows what helps.

Less “did you study?” More “here’s my timing sheet.”
Questions parents ask
What ages and grades is this for?
Ages 11 to 14 is the sweet spot (grades 5 to 9). The tone is grown-up, with no cartoon mascots, so a 13-year-old won’t feel babied.
Is it good for kids with ADHD?
It was designed with distractible kids and kids with ADHD in mind: one job per page, a short DO THIS line, short sessions, a clear next step and nothing that resets after a missed day. It is a study tool, not a treatment.
The test is tomorrow. Is it too late?
No. There is a one-page plan for the night before, about 90 minutes, in order.
Does my kid have to love racing things?
It helps. The whole system speaks the language of race cars, karting, pit stops and lap times. If that’s not your kid, the same system comes in 10 other worlds with matching page numbers.
Can I use it for homeschool or my classroom?
Yes. The license covers one household, or one teacher’s own students. Reprint it for every test this year.
